Sean Giroir, PT, DPT, ATC, CSCS

 Physical Therapist

Sean was born and raised in the suburbs of Denver, Colorado. During high school, he was a multisport athlete including football, basketball, baseball and track and field, which he received multiple all-conference selections. With a desire to continue playing sports, he received an athletic scholarship to play football and track and field at Tabor College, an NAIA school in Hillsboro, Kansas. During his time at Tabor, he played four years of football, as a tight end and a punter. He also threw the hammer and discus and he received all-conference recognition for hammer his senior year.

 

Initially, Sean attended Tabor to pursue a degree as a structural engineer, but quickly realized his personality did not align to the engineering world. During his freshman year, he experienced a shoulder injury and as he was sitting in the athletic training room he fell in love with the culture and the idea of working with athletes. Following his graduation from Tabor, with a degree in Athletic Training, he accepted a position as an assistant Athletic Trainer at Trinity Valley Community College, a junior college, in Athens, Texas. Following his time there, he gained acceptance to the University of Saint Mary’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program in Leavenworth, Kansas.

 

Since his graduation in 2017, he has honed his treatment skills in multiple cities treating in various clinics with athletes of all ages a skill levels. His journey has now brought him to Papillion, Nebraska where he can continue to pursue the dream of helping athletes of all ages return to full sport participation, in a state of the art facility. His treatment style use a variety of manual therapy techniques, ranging from dry needling to hands on soft tissue mobilization, in combination with the foundational skills of Olympic and power lifting.

 

When not working, Sean and his dog Tucker enjoy hiking, watching all sports, playing in adult rec basketball and kickball leagues, traveling and checking out local breweries. He a huge Colorado sports fan, so be sure to give him a hard time about the Broncos and the Buffaloes.
