Morgan Duren, PT, DPT, ATC

Physical Therapist

Born and raised in Columbus, NE Morgan began participating in community sports at a young age. She was a three-sport athlete all four years of high school, switching the three sports around many times by participating in volleyball, basketball, cross country, track, and soccer. Basketball, however, held her focus all four years because she found her passion for sports and being a teammate on the basketball court. During her high school years, Morgan also participated in Mock Trial, Student Council, Campus Ministry, the Godparents Program, and Youth Mission Trips.

Morgan continued her athletic career for two years on the Nebraska Wesleyan University Women’s Basketball Team, where she planned to pursue a career in Business and Law until a hamstring and shoulder injury led her to focus on academics.  Plans changed when she fell in love with the culture of the Athletic Training Room. The Athletic Training program at NWU allowed her to continue involvement in sports daily, while giving her the opportunity to learn about the workings of the human body in relation to those sports. Morgan pursued and graduated with a degree in Athletic Training from NWU in May 2015.

She then attended the Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO. She worked as a graduate assistant Athletic Trainer during her first year and she pursued further education in pediatric physical therapy, sports and orthopedic physical therapy, and credits toward her certification in Spinal Manual Therapy. Following graduation from RU in 2018, she spent the next two years in the Phoenix, AZ area working in pediatrics, sports and orthopedic physical therapy settings.

Morgan likes to spend her free time with her family, taking her dog hiking and to the park, playing sports, refinishing old furniture and building new furniture, drinking coffee, and being outdoors in any form.
