Kelly Poland, PTA

Physical Therapist Assistant

Kelly grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. She attended Burke High School where she competed in soccer. She then attended Hastings College where she also played soccer and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. She graduated with academic honors and received recognition for soccer as an National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Scholar Athlete, Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women’s Soccer All Conference First Team, and NAIA All-Nebraska soccer team. Kelly went on to complete the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Nebraska Methodist College, where she also graduated with academic honors.

Kelly has always been intrigued by the human body and its ability to respond and adapt to injuries. Her passion for physical therapy was ignited following her own ACL, MCL, and meniscus injury where she was able to experience the rehabilitation process first hand. Kelly started her PTA career in Ogallala, NE at a rural facility where she was able to work with a wide variety of clients and diagnoses in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, swing bed, aquatics, and wound care. Her love for sports and returning athletes and active individuals to their favorite activities landed her at Athletes’ Training Center.

Outside of work, Kelly’s hobbies include repurposing furniture, crafting, and spending time doing anything outdoors with family and friends. She also enjoys watching the Chicago Bears, Chicago Blackhawks, and Nebraska football.
