Adam Loftis, MA, CSCS, sCCc, USAW-1

Performance Coach

Adam was born and raised in Arlington, NE and was a three-letter athlete earning All-District and All-Conference honors in football, basketball and track. He also played Legion Baseball in the summers. Adam went on to play football at Hastings College while completing his undergraduate degree.  After college, Adam returned to coach football at Arlington High School, as well as providing strength and conditioning programs to the team.

 

Adam attended the University of Nebraska Omaha to complete his Master’s Degree in Exercise Science. During that time, he started working with the Omaha Beef, a local arena football team, serving as a football and strength coach.  After completing his Master’s degree, Adam joined Xplosive Edge, where he was the Assistant Director of Athletic Performance and had the opportunity to work with youth to professional athletes.  His experience also includes working from 2013-2015 with the Omaha Lancers hockey team, which qualified for playoffs in 2013 and 2014 and ultimately sent 53 players to Division I programs.

 

He also brings with him experience in the collegiate setting.  He volunteered at the University of Nebraska Lincoln as a strength and conditioning coach with Husker Power.  While there he had the privilege of working with the 2015 National Championship volleyball team, as well as other sports.  He then served as an Athletic Performance Coach with the University of Alabama Birmingham. 

 

In 2018, Adam returned to Nebraska and became a Health and Wellness Director at the YMCA.   He also stayed involved in the strength and conditioning field by serving as a strength and conditioning coach with Iowa Western Community College and returning to a role coaching football and heading the strength and conditioning program for the Omaha Beef.

 

Adam is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and is Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified (sCCc) through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa). He holds a USA Weightlifting Level 1 certification.

 

In his free time, Adam likes to spend time outside with his wife Mary and daughter Aubrey, along with their two dogs Charley and Pongo.
