The idea for Athletes’ Training Center started when Travis Manners began his career treating injured athletes in 1999. “I realized early on there was a disconnect between traditional outpatient rehabilitation and what athletes really need to get back to optimal performance levels,” Travis says.
In 2009, Travis partnered with Nick Wegener to start Athletes’ Training Center, with a unique, research-based approach to physical therapy and sports performance. The goal was to build a facility to serve as a resource for athletes and their families to find unmatched rehabilitative care, training and service.
Our mission is to seamlessly integrate sports physical therapy and performance training. We believe each and every person exists somewhere on the spectrum of physical performance, and we can get you from one point to another on that spectrum.

What started out as a modest operation has grown to two locations, in Omaha and Pappilion, each with more than 12,000 square feet of space to provide you with the best experience possible.
We also partner with Positive Nutrition in Omaha, to further our mission to develop our holistic approach to caring for athletes of all ages. We recognize the importance nutrition plays and are dedicated to helping in this commonly overlooked area.
